Claudia Balthasar is Nikolai Balthasar's wife and Maria Balthasar's mother.
She is only mentioned in the Xenogears Perfect Works, the encyclopedic companion piece to Xenogears.
Biography[]
A year after Maria was born, Claudia was captured from Shevat by Solaris with Nikolai and her daughter and held hostage while Gebler forced Nikolai to work on Seibzehn.
Approximately three years later, she died during an experiment with Seibzehn. Claudia willingly sacrificed her life to allow Seibzehn to link with Maria and subsequently take Maria to the surface to Isaac Balthasar.
