Combat Realians are a race of artificial humans. Combat Realian is type of Realian. Many of the Combat Realians onboard the Woglinde were made by Vector Industries, and they are hybrid models with a carbon/silicon base. Since the Miltian Conflict, the alteration of a Combat Realian's emotions is no longer allowed. The only exceptions are for Realians in the military or other dangerous occupations, such as terraforming. A simplified example would be that a human might carry a 30 caliber rifle, while a combat Realian would carry a 20mm. During the Song of Nephilim, many Combat Realian are lost control. During Miltian Conflict, Febronia was killed by a group of Combat Realian. her church was attacked by a rogue group of combat Realians that young Shion had been trying to escape from. Feb bravely confronted the attackers and was savagely beaten in an attempt to serve as a distraction while Virgil and Shion were fleeing for safety. Feb was finally killed in front of both Virgil and Shion after being stabbed by a combat Realian. Her last words being for the two to "run" right before the Realians began to consume her flesh. After her death, Virgil was distraught and began to attack the Realians to carry her body to safety.

This event may have been a significant contributor to Virgil's DME addiction as well as his racism towards Realians. Her death also haunted Shion for years. In Xenocard,
