Razael

Razael's Tree in Razael.

Razael is a giant supercomputer cavern in Mahanon, which is part of the Eldridge, specifically, its mainframe. The section of the ship was said to be large enough to fit all Bledavik within it.

Razael's Tree Edit

In Razael lies two giant golden objects called Razael's Tree which contain all knowledge known to mankind since before the Eldridge crash: information on angels, Yahweh, Deus, the Zohar and the Wave Existence.

History Edit

At some point in time after beginning Project Noah, Karellen analyzed Razael's Tree in Mahanon and learned the truth of Deus' dark nature, as well as the Wave Existence. Karellen's goal then shifted into "go to the place of god" (reunite with the Wave Existence).

Xenogears Edit

The wisdom of god, hidden within Razael... We found the unthinkable when we accessed its data. A large unmanned strategic weapon and its battalion of terminal interface weapons, travelling from star system to star system. And a gargantuan mothership used to carry them... The creation of the -Malahk- angel... God's army to reign over the vast universe with... And the construction of a divine ark... These weapons were called, 'Yabeh', the inter-planetary invasion weapon system. What the Gazel Ministry was pursuing was right here. According to the data, the giant rotting organism we just defeated was in fact the nucleus of this system. We were on the verge of accessing the data for the object called... 'Zohar' ...The central neural circuit and power source controlling the entire system, from the weapons to the mothership...

Fei Fong Wong, Citan Uzuki and the group first learn the truth of the interplanetary system of conquest known as Deus - the supposed "God" of his world. Before they can delve too deeply into the wealth of knowledge, Karellen, Myyah Hawwa and Grahf appear. The Alpha Weltall boss occurs here (winning is optional). Even if the player wins against Alpha Weltall, the protagonists are defeated anyway and are crucified at Golgoda.

Etymology Edit

This is a misspelling of Raziel, an archangel within the teachings of Jewish mysticism (of the Kabbalah of Judaism) who is the "Keeper of Secrets" and the "Angel of Mysteries".

Razael's Tree was based on the tree of the knowledge that stores the story of Genesis in the Hebrew Bible. It is said that is served by the angel Raziel, so it is called Razael's Tree.

Trivia Edit

  • In the beginning, an Eldridge operator says, "Alpha 1 to Razael Central".
  • The save points (the U.M.N. points) in Xenosaga look almost identical to Razael's Tree.[1]
